Many people struggling with OCD who come to my practice have often seen 5-15 providers who claim they know how to treat OCD, but in fact they do not know how to treat using ERP, and the person is still struggling. This is due to the fact that ALTHOUGH OCD IS AN ANXIETY-RELATED DISORDER, IT IS NOT TREATED THE SAME WAY AS WE TREAT OTHER ANXIETY. INSTEAD, A THERAPIST THOROUGHLY TRAINED IN ERP IS REQUIRED TO TREAT OCD PROPERLY." It is a chronic illness that is very treatable using ERP.
