OCD, Trichotillomania, Dermatillomania, Anxiety, Depression
I treat OCD, Trichotillomania, Dermatillomania, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Hoarding, Tics, Depression, Anxiety, and Trauma (using EMDR) in adults, children, and adolescents. I have taken all advanced training offered by the International OCD Foundation to train therapists to CORRECTLY treat the OCD spectrum of disorders. I have attended 6 Annual OCD conferences and have been trained at these conferences by the foremost researchers, professors, and authors of the OCD books written in the past 25 years. I use the Evidence-Based treatment of Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) to treat OCD. It is my greatest joy to watch my patients improve as a result of using the evidence-based treatments that I have been thoroughly trained in. Many people struggling with OCD who come to my practice have often seen 5-15 providers who claim they know how to treat OCD, but in fact they do not know how to treat using ERP, and the person is still struggling. This is due to the fact that ALTHOUGH OCD IS AN ANXIETY-RELATED DISORDER, IT IS NOT TREATED THE SAME WAY AS WE TREAT OTHER ANXIETY. INSTEAD, A THERAPIST THOROUGHLY TRAINED IN ERP IS REQUIRED TO TREAT OCD PROPERLY." It is a chronic illness that is very treatable using ERP.
