Community Style Acupuncture Our acupuncture is performed in a community setting, the way it has been practiced in China for thousands of years. At Left Hand Community Acupuncture (LHCA) we have a community room with three massage tables and five recliners. In this setting several people can receive treatments at the same time; this creates a unique healing atmosphere that you won’t find at a traditional acupuncture clinic. We talk in low voices in the community room in order to respect privacy. If you ever feel that you don’t have enough time to talk to a practitioner, we would be happy to schedule a phone appointment with you. We have a sliding fee scale ranging from $20-$45 per treatment. You pay what you can. We offer a payment chart for you to reference if you are having trouble deciding what to pay. We do not need proof of your income or financial status; you simply pay what you can on the day you come in. There is an additional $15 intake fee on your first visit. Our clinic model is designed to make acupuncture an affordable healthcare option for everyone. We accept cash, check and credit card (MC and Visa).

Welcome to Five Branches Wellness. I have been serving the Boulder community since 1996, and offer a variety of complementary modalities. I mainly utilize Acupuncture, Rolfing ® , & Massage Therapy, but also have extensive trainings in Chinese Herbology, & Energy Medicine. The name of my business, “Five Branches” is based on the Five Branches of Chinese Medicine. During an initial consultation, I thoroughly ascertain each patients’ health history and present condition. Patients are analyzed according to their symptoms, disease pattern in Chinese Medicine, and their individual constitution. We continue to reassess during consequent treatments, & determine short & long term goals. In this way, treatments are customized for maximum efficacy and strive to move the body into balance and health & then, hopefully – integration!

I enjoy working with Women's health, such as hormone imbalances,, including menopause and fertility issues. I also work with people who have digestive disturbances, are interested in weight loss, pain relief, emotional discomfort, as well as the common cold and many un-common discomforts. People often ask me how I got involved in Chinese Medicine. I have always been interested in things that are foreign. The first time I tried acupuncture, I was amazed by the deep relaxation I experienced. I felt that my body, mind and emotions were ‘reset’. I was deeply present in the moment, as when I experience deep meditation. Part of the wonderful things about acupuncture, are the diagnostic techniques which help us to diagnose and treat complicated chronic conditions which western/biomedicine has difficulty detecting and resolving. When I treat my patients, I am excited at the depth this medicine has which aids me to treat what I see and helps people align what they are feeling in their body with a medical philosophy, which coincides with their experience. The way I mirror their issues gives them insight into how to help them create change. Acupuncture gives us the opportunity to take a moment to connect with the big picture thru the regulation of our body processes. This gives a patient space from their small problems and relaxation, which is the first step in evolving our health.
