Neurodivergence

Neurodivergence is a term used to describe variations in the human brain and how it processes information, thinks, learns, and behaves, differing from what is typically considered "neurotypical." It includes a range of neurological differences such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and others. Rather than viewing these differences as deficits or disorders, the concept of neurodivergence emphasizes that they are natural variations in cognitive functioning. The neurodiversity movement, which promotes acceptance and inclusion, argues that society should accommodate and value diverse ways of thinking and experiencing the world, just as it values diversity in culture, race, or gender. Recognizing neurodivergence can help reduce stigma and foster environments that support all types of minds, encouraging more personalized approaches in education, work, and healthcare.
