| Hello. Our son is 20 months old and isn't actively talking yet. He has great cognitive skills (follows directions, points at the correct images in books when prompted, points at things and makes sounds) but no actual words yet. I'm not overly worried but do want to talk to a child speech specialist about any early intervention tactics we should be taking to help him with his language development.
