Rehearse for Your Life!
Compassionate Work on Relationships W/ Self & Others
My practice can be summed up with the words of e.e. cummings:
We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals
that deep inside us something is valuable,
worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch.
Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder,
spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit.
I call my work REHEARSE FOR LIFE because in our safe confidential sessions we can practice those difficult conversations and confrontations with ourselves, our families, our bosses and our loved ones. We can look at the choices we have before us and see what are the consequences of acting out in those circumstances.
I have had a great deal of success working with problems of ADDICTION and COMMUNICATION ANXIETY.
A Registered Drama Therapist and Marriage and Family Therapist, Bradford began his work in Creative Arts therapy working for the renowned STOP GAP THEATRE COMPANY of Southern California (the leading provider of drama therapy in the country- doing over 1000 events a year). Bradford worked in battered women’s shelters (with the women and their children), facilitated at Hoag Hospital in the inpatient drug and alcohol rehab program, worked with terminally ill children at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, as well as foster care, juvenile hall and many other outreach programs for at risk kids and adults.
He does a program at the VA working with the Vets in what he lovingly refers as "Karaoke Therapy", as well as ongoing seminars at American Academy of Dramatic Arts, AFI, and other schools and organizations.
