If you'd like to ask me about the things you specifically want to see change, or any other questions, please contact me.

I’ll bring to our work together more than 20 years of success helping people deal with problems. My style is warm, compassionate, interactive and practical. Our goal will be that you quickly see results in your life.

If you are repeating patterns that you know aren’t what you really want, if you struggle with self-care, if you are anxious or depressed (or both), if how you think and interact gets you into trouble, or you just generally feel stuck, those are among the many things we can productively address. Whether you’ve never had a single session of psychotherapy or you have tried many different methods, if you are ready for change, I am committed to helping you achieve it. I

What you can expect from me: A safe, comfortable environment, respect, empathy and compassion, partnership in meeting your goals, experience and intuitive understanding. We'll work with your strengths as well as what you'd like to have change. I’m trained in many different psychotherapy and counseling skills. Together we will decide what track is right for you.

Real progress comes with good psychotherapy that is a match to your needs. Together we will discover what is needed for you to live more fully and to resolve the issues and conditions that have brought you to therapy.
Bio
For more than 20 years I've been counseling adults (18 and older) in a private practice setting on Manhattan's Upper West Side. (If you’re not familiar with the term “private practice,” it means a personal office where you will have more privacy than in a clinic or similar organization.)

Prior to opening my practice, I worked for a number of years with individuals and groups in organizational settings.

I’ve also been trained in many ways of working with people, including cognitive-behavioral, EMDR, interpersonal, psychodynamic, and IPNB. All my training has been geared toward providing the latest and best methods for my clients.
