Be proactive
Individual, Couple's and Group Counseling
I have worked with thousands of people in both personal and business environments. While I have been a licensed therapist for 26 years, I feel more aligned with calling myself a coach. My focus is on helping people become clear about their visions and desires, strategize about how to move forward effectively, and then take consistent action. I lead both personal development and business communication courses nationally and internationally. My wife of 25 years (Judith Bell, M.S.) and I co-wrote Lovers for Life: Creating Lasting Passion, Trust, and True Partnership. She and I co-lead couple's workshops. I also lead Strength with Heart men's groups and workshops. Weekly groups have been running continually for the last 26+ years.
I am quite willing to share my perspective in respectful ways to clients who appreciate the directness and clarity of my feedback. Working with individuals, couples, and groups, I act as ally and advisor in helping you bring forth your very best. It is truly a privilege.
I have offices in both San Francisco and Marin. I also work with people around the country through Skype or phone.

Bio
Daniel Ellenberg, PhD is the president of Relationships That Work and a principal at Rewire Leadership Institute. As a change agent, he plays many different roles: leadership coach, trainer, public speaker, group facilitator, author, consultant, counselor, and researcher. His primary interest is researching and teaching skills that allow people to thrive, rather than simply survive.
He is co-author of Lovers for Life: Creating Lasting Passion, Trust, and True Partnership and a contributor to the Communication Path. He is the founder/director of Strength with Heart men’s groups and seminars, and a founding member of the Men's Counseling Guild. He has down extensive research on the male sex role and how to work more effectively with male employees. As a public speaker, he has appeared on television, major conferences, universities, and radio.
As an expert in relationship development, he helps people resolve misunderstandings and power struggles to create healthy, cohesive, well functioning relationships and teams. In whichever role he occupies, he teaches people how to develop powerful communication skills and fulfilling relationships. His work with groups has been instrumental in helping people change their limiting beliefs about communication and create relationships with more meaning, understanding and creativity.
