Dr. Jennifer Bahr, ND is a licensed naturopathic doctor practicing in San Diego, CA. She specializes in the integrative treatment of mental health. Her unique perspective and training allows her to blend conventional and natural medicine to provide a truly individualized and holistic approach to whole body health.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Bahr also teaches at Bastyr University California. She lectures extensively to the public on all topics related to mental health. It is her personal mission in life to help end the stigma associated with mental health conditions so that quality treatment, whether natural or conventional, will not be unnecessarily delayed out of fear.
Dr. Bahr received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ, where she focused her clinical studies on homeopathy, nutrition, mental health, and pediatrics. She is the only ND to have completed 2 years in a mental health focused residency. Prior to becoming an ND she was an Arabic translator for the US government and served 6 years in the US Navy. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland. She is the Vice President and Legislative Committee Chair for the California Naturopathic Doctors Association, a member of the House of Delegates for the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and a member of the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
