Manhattan Talk Therapist
Modern Psychoanalyst
It's been proven that talking really does help emotional struggles. My treatment is a modern psychoanalytic treatment which aims to clarify your thinking process. If you seek knowledge, experience and empathy, my multifaceted abilities can lead you not only to relief from your emotional pain, but to a more fulfilling life. What may seem very complicated to you right now can be clarified through my treatment. Your issues may involve family, romantic, social or business relationships, career conflicts, sexual frustration, addictions or religious conflicts or you may suffer with indecision, confusion, sadness, depression, anxiety or rage … to name just some possibilities. I am not here to judge you; you can safely express yourself with me and find solutions, so let's talk.

I am a creative and multi-talented person who can understand the struggles of a creative mind. Actors, artists and singers work with me and have been helped to free up their creativity. If you are a creative individual, consider my experience in that arena and allow me to assist in unlocking your true potential.

FOR THOSE OUTSIDE OF NEW YORK CITY, I AM OPEN TO WORKING VIA SKYPE!
Education/Training
I am a modern psychoanalyst, certified and licensed to practice in New York State. I got my training at The Center for Modern Analytic Studies in New York City. I have a Masters in Psychoanalysis from The Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis-NY, as well as a Certificate of Psychoanalysis. I treat individuals, couples and groups. My offices are located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, near the #6 subway and various Manhattan bus lines. I welcome any inquiries.
Bio
People of all orientations, cultures and life experiences are welcomed to my office on the Upper East Side (UES) of Manhattan. Since no two people live the same lives, I strive to learn specifically about yours and to do what I can to foster a partnership between us which will lead to your goals along your unique path. People often ask me what my specialty is. The truth is I specialize in relationships - not just relationships with family or friends, but with people in general, and not just relationships with others but the most important relationship to clarify - the one you have with yourself.

People also ask if I am a psychologist. Psychology is the study of human behavior. In that sense, what I do would be covered under the umbrella of Psychology and the technique of modern psychoanalysis is a talk treatment, as is the technique of certain types of psychologists. My technique, however, differs in the way the talk is conducted and its aim is to resolve not just conflicts observable on the surface of one's mind, but also, through deeper exploration, those whose roots may be at a deeper level of the mind, i.e., the Unconscious. In that respect, it is not a band-aid, but offers a potentially longer-lasting or permanent resolution to such conflicts.
