Psychotherapy for Individuals and Couples
Teletherapy (don't have a physical location): I see individuals and couples in my practice. i chose to become a psychotherapist because I love helping clients access their power and wisdom in order to create more fulfilling lives. My practice is very diverse and includes clients from different racial groups, backgrounds and orientations.
My specialty is working with clients who have anxiety disorders and depression. Using a combination of mindfulness, somatic interventions and Internal Family Systems, I collaborate with clients to create a more satisfying life. Through the use of emotional regulation techniques, clients become empowered to cultivate awareness and manage their emotions. My style is creative and interactive. I am committed to supporting clients to move forward in their lives, whether it is healing from depression, managing anxiety or creating a space for couples to cultivate better communication and more intimacy in their relationships.

Bio
I have been in private practice since 1986. My work as a consultant has informed my role as a therapist. For over two decades, I have consulted with a variety of organizations and non-profit agencies where I’ve addressed a multitude of issues. I’ve trained nurses to become more effective communicators in a multicultural work environment; I assisted overwhelmed HIV-test counselors in Africa implement self-care strategies, and I’ve supported soldiers and their families through their healing process following multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
These rich experiences inspired me. The strength and resilience I witnessed from the people I served fed my spirit and confirmed my belief that we all possess the power to change our lives and participate in change in our communities, no matter the circumstance. I bring these core beliefs to my work as a therapist.
