Dr. Jeffrey Chilton
Chilton Psychotherapy
All of us struggle with barriers that inhibit our ability to expand in the world of work or relationships, experience vitality and creativity. These barriers are experienced as symptoms, for example: anxiety, depression, anger, dissociation, low mood and low self-esteem, negative thinking, interpersonal difficulties and self-defeating patterns. I have 20 years of clinical experience and a kind, patient and professional demeanor. With incisive, cogent exploration, support and some humor, I can help you come to better terms with and move beyond barriers.
Education/Training
My education includes a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Rutgers University and two years of institute training in psychological theory and process. I have also studied Tibetan Buddhism and practiced various forms of meditation for 20 years.
Bio
Therapy does not have to be mysterious. I encourage you to ask questions about the process and how therapy can be helpful. Treatment can be brief or longer in duration depending upon the issue and your life situation. Skype sessions are available.
