Psychotherapy in San Francisco
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
In my opinion, the only way that people really change is through the experiences they have with other people. In other words, we are the way that we are because of the impact others have had on us. This is key to my work. With my patients, I explore the way they relate to their friends, their family, and to me. My work focuses on human relationship and emotional expression. My patients learn how to listen more closely to themselves, they become more connected to their feelings, and they understand more fully their relationship to others.

I have experience working in depth with adults, children, adolescents and couples who struggle with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and relationship issues. I also have experience working with eating disorders and addictions of all sorts--substance use, sex addiction, etc.
Education/Training
I received my doctoral degree at the American School of Professional Psychology. I received post-doctoral training in the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program at The Access Institute in San Francisco. I receive further continuing education training at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis.
Bio
Prior to pursuing my doctoral degree, I received a Master of Fine Arts degree. As an artist, I learned how my own creativity can impact people on a deeply emotional level. I also became fascinated by how human connection and creative expression can lead to individual growth.

Currently, I work with children, adolescents, adults and couples in private practice in San Francisco and I also see children and their families at West Coast Children's Center in Oakland. In addition to my work as a psychotherapist, I teach as an adjunct professor for the Counseling Psychology Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Memberships
I currently co-chair the Community Members Forum, associated with the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis. I am an adjunct professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies and I have guest lectured at the American School of Professional Psychology.
