Compassionate Counseling
Can't Get Out of Bed? Something Not Feel Right?
I Offer Guidance Over the Speed Bumps in Life
In a safe and non threatening environment I promote emotional wellness and offer guidance over the speed bumps in life. Job loss, lack of communication with a spouse, partner, or child, someone close to you dies, a pet dies, you find your mind racing, can't make ends meet, your heart pounds and you feel you can't breathe, or perhaps you feel sad all the time, don't want to get out of bed, have no motivation, feel overwhelmed, suffer from abuse or trauma, divorce, perhaps a relative or friend is struggling and you don't know how to be there for them. Maybe you find yourself picking at your skin until it bleeds or pull your hair without realizing it. We all get stuck with life's speed bumps at some time. Based in cognitive behavioral therapy I employ an ecclectic approach to accomodate the uniqueness in every individual. In a calm atmosphere you can realize the peace, happiness and success you deserve through emotional wellness.
Education/Training
I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington State University. My Master of Social Work is from Portland State University. I studied for my doctoral degree at Breyer State University and received a Doctorate of Science in Psychology from Corllins University.
Bio
I was born and grew up in the midwest. After high school I studied for and became a licensed xray technologist. I later spent a few years on the east coast where I met my husband. He was from the west coast where we relocated shortly after being married. I have one son and three grandchildren. I enjoy fishing, gardening, needlework, and my three dogs. My life experiences have taught me to be nonjudgmental and compassionate to others, always wishing to help another with the tools I have learned in life and through schooling.
