Linda Jordan, RN, LMFT
Compassionate Counseling that Can Change Your Life
I work from a place of understanding and appreciation for the fact that you, the client, will be able to know what decisions and choices are best for you when you are given the tools to understand the way you think and feel and what it is that has motivated you thus far. Life is about choices, and everyday you have the choice to do life differently. I can help you come to a place of deeper understanding of yourself and others, gain control over your life, and ultimately feel better and more in charge of your every day interactions and decisions.
Bio
I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for 15 years, and am working primarily with women, adolescents, and couples. I base my therapy practices on the understanding that our actions are initiated by our emotions and our thoughts. That we have a choice in how we think, and how we feel, and what we do with those thoughts and feelings. Prior to my work as a therapist, I was a Registered Nurse and worked for 25 years in hospitals, specifically Intensive Care Units. I have 2 grown children, and 2 grown step-children. And I am a grandmother to 5. Most of my training centered around helping the lives of women who were in abusive relationships and had low self esteem and poor parenting skills. I also had extensive training at a Grief Counseling Center, and worked with families and individuals struggling with the deaths of their loved ones.
