Employee Assistance Programs
We recognize that every client, whether an individual, couple, family or organization is different, and as such has unique needs. It is for this reason that Employee Assistance Professionals, Inc. has developed a spectrum of services and programs to help address a wide range of issues. Services include:

Individual Counseling

Individual Counseling facilitates the exploration and resolution of personal problems and issues as identified by the individual. Some of the issues that may be addressed in individual counseling are:

- Loss (e.g. death of a loved one, separation, divorce)
- Stress (e.g. related to money, moving, career change, difficulties at work or at home)
- Life transitions (e.g. marriage, birth of a child, aging parents)
- Child rearing
- Loneliness
- Relationships
- Dependency (e.g. alcohol, drugs, gambling)

Elder Counseling

Elder Counseling is designed to address the evolving needs of an elder. These services may include issues related to the elder:

- Accepting the need for assistance
- Adjusting to potential change (e.g. upcoming move to assisted living)
- Dealing with emotional concerns (e.g. grief and loss)
- Addressing a medical issue (e.g. depression or substance abuse)

Caregiver Counseling

Caregiver Counseling focuses on the needs of the elder's loved ones, as they process the changes in their lives, as a result of an elder aging. These services may include issues related to loved ones:

- Understanding the aging process
- Coming to terms with the status of the elder
- Healing difficult relationships or unfinished business
- Working through the stress and guilt related to necessary care decisions (e.g. placement in a nursing home)

Premarital Counseling

Premarital Counseling is for couples who are considering making a long term commitment, and would like to begin by establishing a solid foundation.

Couples Counseling

Couples Counseling addresses issues related to interpersonal relationships, and usually focuses on areas of improving self-awareness, communication, and relationship skills. A relationship may become more complicated when one or both individuals have unresolved personal issues.

Relationship Enrichment

Relationship Enrichment designed to help couples and families, develop the skills needed to communicate more openly, resolve differences more quickly, and to create joy and playfulness in their interactions.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

According to the Employee Assistance Professional Association, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) are worksite-based programs designed to assist in the identification and resolution of productivity problems associated with employees impaired by personal concerns, including, but not limited to, health, marital, family, financial, alcohol, drug, legal, emotional, stress, or other personal concerns which may adversely affect employee job performance.
