I am a NY State licensed psychoanalyst. My clinical approach is psycho-dynamically based, which means that I focus on unconscious factors that underlie one's problems. However, I recognize that some problems may respond better to a different orientation. When appropriate, I work eclectically, incorporating other therapy models, including EMDR and hypnotherapy. In my experience, professional orientation is not what matters most in the therapeutic process. Far more important is the quality of the alliance between patient and therapist.

I work with a diverse patient population, from children and adolescents to adults, including seniors. Treatment modalities include individual therapy, couples and family group sessions.

I provide a comfortable therapeutic environment to work with patients on achieving a secure sense of self, increased self-esteem and a sound relationship with self and others.

In private practice for over 20 years, I have extensive experience working with depression, anxiety and phobias, relationship issues, anger management, sexual identity issues, grief and loss. Additionally, I frequently work with bipolar and borderline patients

My work schedule offers daytime and evening appointments; my fee schedule is flexible.
