My office is located at Metis Counseling in the Kansas City Northland, right off I-29 and Tiffany Springs Pkwy. I specialize in working with children ages 4 and up, grade schoolers, tweens and teens, Family counseling is also available. My specialties include mood disorders (like depression/anxiety), life transitions (major changes), parenting issues and trauma.
Our office accepts most insurance plans which include: Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Humana, Tricare, United Healthcare. HSA or medical reimbursement cards accepted.
Our office has other counselors as well.
Education/Training
"I received my Master's in Counseling from Webster University in 2000 and my Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1994. In 2008, I earned my Registered Play Therapy (RPT) Certification, followed by my RPT-S certification in 2010, which qualifies me to supervise play therapists. Additionally, I am a Certified Trauma Specialist through the National Institute of Trauma."

I’m happy to answer any questions you may have about myself, the therapy process, or whether I’m the right fit for you before starting counseling. I tailor sessions to meet the unique needs of each client and family, focusing on the goals you want to work towards, work through, or improve. My laid-back approach tends to resonate well with most kids and teens, making the therapy process a positive experience."
