Bio
We therapists are people first, professionals second. Each of us has our own style, personality, approach to counseling and beliefs about personal growth. Knowing this about a provider up front can give you a good sense about whether someone is a good fit for you or not. So here are some things that may help you decide about that with me.

Here's what I think and do as a therapist. Your mind creates your reality. You are in charge of your mind. When you learn to work with, and not against, your mind (and the stories you create about the things you experience) you will find much greater peace, much faster. I approach counseling with a no-nonsense, let's enjoy the process attitude. I'm a fan of homework. I'm a fan of simultaneously challenging you to reach beyond your comfort zone, while giving you new tools, information and skills to succeed while doing so.

I am playful, and using humor a lot, yet many clients will also tell you that I'm very direct and challenging. When it's all said and done, I believe that when we are happy, we are most true to ourselves, and I want to see you be true to yourself.
