I conduct individual, group, family and couples therapy in a private practice setting for adults and adolescents. I also treat individuals, families, spouses, children, and parents. I am experienced in treating the following conditions:
Mental Heath and addiction; alcohol abuse and addiction, prescription medication abuse and dependency; eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, and overeating; self injury behaviors; sex addiction and frigidity; gambling, overspending, credit card dependency and shopping addiction; and internet addiction including cybersex addictions. I work with individual’s that are experiencing depression, anxiety and anger management problems.
I also specialize in treating relationships issues and help with couples counseling.
I utilize evidence based techniques for the treatment of all disorders. I have studied addictive behaviors, mental health and personality traits which accompany those behaviors to establish techniques for the treatment of mental health and addictive disorders. I use an active solution – orientated method that encompasses both positive regard and empathy.

I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and a Master’s degree in Education with a focus in sport psychology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. I completed a Doctorate degree in Applied Sports Psychology from Wexford University, California. I am a NJ Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, NJ Licensed Professional Counselor in Mental Health Counseling and certified Approved Clinical Supervisor. I have additional certifications in Reality Therapy, Internet Addictions Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology and Stepfamily Counseling. I am also certified by the Association for Advanced Training in Behavioral Sciences as an Alcohol Abuse Specialist. I am a published author in the International Journal of Reality Therapy with articles about positive counseling methods, adolescent development and sports counseling.I am a member of the American Psychotherapy Association and New Zealand Psychological Society.
