Individual & Couples Counseling for Permanent Change
Connexus Services
All of my clients--whether individuals or couples--share one commom theme in their experience: they feel stuck and wish not to be. They feel stuck in how they have always addressed the same problem and feel hopeless about things changing for the better. It may be a perpetual, limiting, yet hard to identify thought pattern that feeds upon the feelings and actions it generates. It may simply be a bad habit that no one has thought to challenge or dared to question. The stuckness may stem from a long standing circumstances in your past that you have never felt completely free from. Or it may be something completely new that has you overwhelmed.

Whatever the case may be for you, I invite you to contact me to see if I might be a good fit to help you get unstuck.

I have a wealth of life experience and multi-cultural interactions and training that provides me with a unique perspective on individuals experiences as well as larger socia-cultural impacts on the individual or relationship. Bio
As counseling and psychotherapy is about the relationship between you and your therapist, allow me to briefly share about who I am.

I believe that as the client, you have done all that you know how to resolve troubling siutations and are currently using the best skills you have. Perhaps you have come to recognize that it is time to replace those skills with more effective ones.

My background includes working with both adults and adolescents who are struggling with recovering from trauma, abuse, and family dysfunction as well as with those who are seeking a guide to assist them through a tough stage. I have specialized training in couples/marriage counseling through my masters degree program, with a post-masters' certificate in sex therapy. I believe that with the support and guidance of a trusted therapist, we experience the safety needed to move out of our zones of familiarity and allow ourselves to discover and incorporate empowered ways to address long-standing issues in our lives.

I have a rich wealth of multi-cultural experience gained from living in several countries outside the U.S. This allows me to be an outside-the-box thinker as well as relate to people from various walks of life, ethnic backgrounds, and religous affiliations. I regularly engage in my own meditation and yoga practices, but do not ascribe to any one philosophy or relgious tradition. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver which included an internship with Noeticus Counseling Center. I have also completed a post-masters certification in Clinical Sex Therapy at the Colorado School for Family Therapy .

As for my work with individuals, couples, and families, I am constantly inspired by the courage and resiliency of those whose life stories are marked with both tragedy and lack of support. It is with great anticipation for the rewarding work we can do together that I look forward to meeting you.
