SERVICES
Sharon provides in-office/in-home assessment and management for individuals aged 18 months to adult with speech and/or language related disorders, accent modification, professional speaking, and stuttering therapy needs. Sharon implements individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions for each client. She discusses treatment goals, objectives and progress with client and/or family. Sharon provides hands-on educational techniques and compensatory strategies to help speaker incorporate goals and objectives into the natural environment during, and subsequent to treatment sessions. She performs progress and re-evaluation reports so that client and/or family may see documented treatment gains. Sharon adopts individualized transfer programs for patients exiting treatment once goals have been met.

Bio
Sharon Darling M.A., CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist who has been servicing the pediatric and adult populations with various communication disorders for 15 years. She has provided both in-clinic and in-home therapy services to individuals in the areas of stuttering, language disorders, language delay, articulation/phonological disorders, cleft palate, hearing disorders, and Autism spectrum disorders. She served as a private consultant to a California state agency in the area of early intervention language services for 12 years.
Sharon is licensed by the California State Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board, and Hearing Aid Dispensers Bureau, and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. She also holds a Clear Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential with the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Sharon received her bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Long Beach and her master’s degree in Communicative Disorders with an emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, Long Beach graduating with honors.
