Shaw Chiropractic
There are many components to a successful health care intervention. We will discuss treatment and financial options with you. It will then be up to you to decide if and how fast you want to proceed.
Consultation and Examination...
Your encounter with our office will begin with an unhurried consultation and examination. Specialized examination procedures help us determine how best to achieve your health goals.
Adjustments...
The specific spinal adjustment is what separates chiropractic from other types of health care. This gentle, controlled pressure adds energy and motion to stuck or unbalanced spinal bones, reducing inflammation and allowing the spine and nerves to function as they are supposed to. Adjustments are guided by patient need and desire. Each person - infant, bodybuilder, or frail elderly woman – receives their own special adjustments and treatment frequency.
Manual therapies...
In addition to adjustments, we offer a range of physical procedures. We offer you proven technologies... without the unproven expensive bells and whistles.
Active Release Technique ... works to release muscle inhibition that prevents normal joint motion. Many chronic problems are relieved with this advanced manual technique. Involves specific pressure points with stretching movements to release chronic problems.
Therapeutic massage, myofascial release, and reflexology ... help to release tight aching muscles, and achieve a unique sense of relaxation. Releasing tension in all parts of the body, including the feet, is key to achieving maximal wellness.
Specialized corrective exercises ... help restore normal movement patterns, and strengthen and retrain key muscles that keep your spine and other joints balanced.
Posture ... Poor posture is one of the key players in stressing the spine and joints. We coach each client to help them reach their ideal posture.
Electrical Physiotherapies...
Many based on the principles of ancient chinese medicine, coupled with modern technology ...
Interferential Muscle Stim, Infrared Therapy, Ultrasound, and Hot and Cold Packs ... stimulate circulation, reduce muscle spasm and hypertonicity, and help pain go away faster naturally.
Radiology...
Many patients’ histories warrant a radiographic examination of the spine. Our low exposure radiology equipment helps us visualize alignment, injury, and the degree of degeneration in your spine.
Other considerations...
Many health problems, including pain syndromes, respond faster when proper nutrition is addressed. This may include general diet counseling as well as specific nutrient supplementation.
Nutritional Cleansing and Ionic Detoxifying ... Many pain syndromes are largely due to symptoms of toxin buildup. A consultation with our cleanse coach will help address this consideration. These treatments can help in unusual situations like fibromyalgia, where other treatments have failed.
