Helping People Improve Relationships
Olive Branch Relationship Counseling
Are you in a troubled relationship with your spouse, children, friends or co-workers? Are you feeling anxious? Depressed? Scared? Suffering from a poor self image? I can help you discover new ways to improve your relationships and love your life.

I specialize in helping married and unmarried partners, parents and their children, adoptees, business owners and employees with relationship issues and problems. I work with those contemplating, navigating through or recovering from divorce and with teenagers who are struggling at home and in school. My style is supportive encouraging and relaxed, yet straight forward when you need me to be. I will listen to your special circumstances, help you gain perspective and give you the tools and confidence you need to make wanted changes.

I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and can help clients who are struggling to incorporate their faith into their decision making process and ultimately into their emotional wellness.

The good news is...you really can feel better! I believe in helping you reach your goals by building confidence, teaching you to communicate more effectively and helping you discover a sense of purpose. You will learn what you were never taught about how to create successful relationships and get what you want and need from them.

In our sessions, you will know what it feels like to be heard, understood and accepted in a safe environment. Together, we will work on overcoming the negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors that are interfering with your happiness and will find solutions to your specific life challenges.

Click on my newsletters link at the top right of this page and you will see various issues that have been covered over the years. Each newsletter includes suggestions on actions you can take to make things better. Sometimes this is easier said than done and I can help you take these actions. If you wish to receive a copy of my newsletters, 6 times per year, just let me know by e-mail and I will be happy to send them to you.

The decision to begin counseling can be difficult. It is also the first step toward creating change in your life. All you need to do today is call to make an appointment. Then we can get you started on your road to feeling better.

I look forward to speaking with you.

Bio
My passion as a Marriage and Family Counselor is to help individuals, couples and families resolve and improve relationships at home and at work.

With sensitivity and compassion, I work with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals and to feel comfortable in their own lives. My treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. I blend conventional and alternatives approaches and draw upon a variety of styles and techniques including "Insight Oriented" and "Cognitive Behavioral" therapies to incorporate what will be most beneficial for each client.

I have been married for over 20 years and have a young daughter and married step-son. I am well educated professionally and personally when it comes to marriage relationships and blended family issues. As an adoptive parent I am also interested in helping adoptees, and all involved, deal with the delicate issues of adoption. In my prior career I owned and managed a family business with 150 employees and understand the complexities and ramifications of workplace demands and relationships. I have extensive experience working with unions. I can help you navigate through workplace difficulties.

I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and take my faith seriously. My values and beliefs are part of who I am and how I work with my clients.
