Life can be a unique and challenging experience. Much of the time we are able to deal with the everyday issues that arise however sometimes life challenges us in unexpected ways. If you are having difficulty dealing with certain situations or emotions, counselling provides an opportunity for you to discuss your concerns in a confidential and safe environment.

By talking through your concerns with a counselor, you will deepen your understanding of what is happening and develop alternate ways of dealing with a situation. Taking care of your mental health is essential step to caring for your overall health and personal well-being. Ignoring problems can interfere with your ability to lead a healthy and productive life.

Bio:
I believe that therapeutic change occurs through a supportive, caring and trusting relationship building upon each client’s unique strengths and resources. When it comes to your life, you are the expert, and with support, encouragement and appropriate interventions, you will find solutions to the numerous challenges we each face on a daily basis.

I practice both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Both types of therapy are client-centered and goal-directed methods in which the client and therapist work together to solve problems.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an educational approach to therapy that helps clients overcome their difficulties by changing their thinking, behavior, and emotional responses. It has been clinically proven to be effective for a wide variety of problems and disorders.

Solution Focused Therapy is a future-focused, strength-oriented and goal-directed approach to brief therapy. It is designed to empower clients and assist them in living more helpful and satisfying lives.
