Tender Hearts Child Therapy Center counselors specialize in working with children, teens, and their families. Tender Hearts counselors work with children who have ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety, or are struggling with recent life changes such as a divorce, or the loss of a loved one. Tender Hearts Counselors use Evidence-Based Treatments whenever possible. Evidence-Based Treatments are those that have been researched and proven to be most effective in addressing a particular problem. That means that your child, teen, and family will get the longest-lasting results as in the shortest amount of time possible!
Tender Hearts Counselors understand the importance of family involvement in working with children and teens. That's why all of our counselors will do a combination of individual and family counseling, whatever the problem is that brought your child to counseling in the first place.
Tender Hearts Child Counseling Center Counselors are in-network with most major insurance companies, including Missouri HealthNet/Missouri Medicaid. That means you'll get the full benefits of the medical insurance your child already has. If you don't have insurance (or just don't want to use it for whatever reason), Tender Hearts has an affordable private pay scale. Ask our Office Manager for details!

Tender Hearts Child Therapy Center was founded in the early 2000's to provide child counseling for the Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois area. The current owners took over the practice in August 2010.
Tender Hearts is committed to providing quality mental health and behavioral health to our clients. Our office is large enough to have several counselors on staff to best fit your individual needs, but we're small enough to know you and care. You won't find the sterile community agency atmosphere at Tender Hearts. We're a group private practice so we aren't limited by the red tape that you'll find in many community agencies.
