The New York Speech & Voice Connection is a communication skills company serving New York City and the surrounding metropolitan area.
We aid individuals and groups in achieving excellence in communication. We design our programs to accommodate your needs whether it be improvement in American English pronunciation (Accent Modification), speaking/presentation skills, vocal clarity and speech and language disorders due to medical reasons. We work with individuals or groups at our office, or at your company’s office.

Bio
Diane Boardman, M.A., CCC-SLP, is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 1997 from Queens College, C.U.N.Y., one of the most respected graduate programs in this field in the United States. Ms. Boardman is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a member of the New York State Speech-Language-Hearing Association and CORSPAN (Corporate Speech Pathology Network).
Since 1998, Ms. Boardman has worked with clients wishing to improve their vocal presentation skills as well as the pronunciation of American English (Accent Modification Training). Her Accent clients include individuals from over 35 countries including China, Japan, Thailand, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Pakistan, India, Turkey, Vietnam and Ghana.
Ms. Boardman has presented seminars in American English Communication and Pronunciation at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine for foreign born medical students, and taught Accent Reduction classes at Hunter College, City University of New York for seven years.
In November 2004, Ms. Boardman was invited to present her seminar “Speaking American English - Pronunciation Essentials” at the Annual Conference of the Business English Special Interest Group (BESIG), in Vienna, Austria. She was invited to speak again at the 2006 BESIG conference in Milan, Italy and most recently presented at France’s TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) convention in Paris.
In her former life, Ms. Boardman was a professional dancer and choreographer whose work was reviewed in “Dance Magazine”, “The New York Times” and other prestigious publications. She toured throughout the U.S. and Canada and has had her choreography performed in Europe. Ms. Boardman was presented with choreographic grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York State Council on the Arts. Her work has been filmed and entered into the Dance Archives of The Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts, in NYC.
