Life can feel overwhelming, confusing, and, at times, impossible.
You may know exactly what your problems are and yet you can’t seem to find a way to overcome them. You may feel as though your map was never given or was lost somewhere along the way. Sometimes existential problems weigh you down and sometimes its life’s minutiae. Trauma may have led you to feel cut off from yourself or the world around you. Life seems to happen to you but you don’t feel like a participant. Your innate creativity may feel stunted by your past and environment. I understand how these challenges can feel all-consuming and isolating. You don't have to navigate them alone.
My practice focuses on supporting individuals as they manage the emotional and psychological challenges prevalent in today's society: anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, compulsive behavior, grief/loss, and trauma.
I will treat you with the deep reverence, attention, curiosity, and care you deserve. My approach is primarily psychodynamic and psychoanalytic, meaning that I work with parts of the mind that may be elusive and whose influence may be undetected. My goal is for you to connect with your most authentic self, tap into your inner resources, and cultivate meaningful relationships with yourself, others, and life itself. I became a therapist after years of working in neuroscience and psychiatric settings throughout NYC and Southern California. I use my untraditional experience to supplement my understanding of the mind.
