Portrait Health Centers are multi-specialty clinics that employ the most cutting-edge and proven assessment protocols and treatment options available, believing that an Effective Treatment Depends On An Accurate Diagnosis. Individuals should not have to “play doctor” by researching available treatments and then self-selecting which of these treatments has been scientifically validated and would be most appropriate for themselves or their family. At Portrait Health Centers, we provide a comprehensive and multi-specialty assessment to determine the underlying causes of your symptoms and incorporate an appropriate treatment plan.

Bio
As a therapist, I strive to provide a safe, comfortable and creative space to explore character and relational patterns, choices in thoughts and behaviors. I facilitate this through a nonjudgmental approach that promotes strengths and discovers latent potentials. My passions are to work with children, pre-teens, adolescence, young adults, middle-aged adults and individuals with intellectual disabilities. I have extensive experience working through depression, anxiety, Bipolar, relational problems, behavioral and adjustment concerns using a client centered approach.
While working with children, preteens and adolescence, I like to develop creative mediums of therapy such as art, music and play therapy. I also enjoy establishing emotional regulation skills, social skill building and behavioral techniques with the client and their families. I am currently working with youths with substance use histories using decision making models. I also like to utilize Pattern Focused Psychotherapy, Positive Psychology, Adlerian, Client Centered and Relational approaches with adolescence and adults.
I earned my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University, an Associates of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from ITT Technical Institute and my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from The University of Akron. I have direct clinical experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, youths in transitional housing, working in private practice and working in the criminal justice system.
I balance my work life with relaxing time with my three daughters, reading daily devotionals and listening to alternative, punk and metal music. My favorite past time has been creating selfie surrealism with graphic arts. I really enjoy having a nice large cup of coffee and the experience of traveling and meeting new people.
