West Asheville Acupuncture was founded by Nancy Hyton, Asheville's first Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Nancy is a resident of West Asheville and has had her practice in the neighborhood since 2007. She specializes in integrative acupuncture treatments and is the only practitioner to include such a wide variety of complimentary therapies at no extra charge. Acupuncture is the fundamental therapy upon which all of her treatments are built but her toolbox also includes herbal medicine, tui na (Chinese medical massage), zhi ya (acupressure), ba guan (fire cupping), gua sha (massage with jade and horn tools), topical oils and patches for pain, and 5 element nutrition.
