I will help you find healthy, low risk options to regain your health or prevent disease. I am the only practitioner in New York who is a naturopathic doctor and a midwife. I am a primary care practitioner for women who integrates standard and natural therapies. I offer standard and alternative laboratory testing, including hormones and neurotransmitters. Therapies include herbal medicine, bioidentical hormones and therapeutic nutrition. My specialties include working with girls and women of all ages to achieve hormonal balance and optimal health. I work with many women during the menopausal years. I help with sleep issues, mood imbalances and stress management. I work with people during and after cancer treatment to support their recovery.

Bio

Deanna’s journey into natural medicine and her passion for helping women began with her own health issues, including IC. She became a naturopathic doctor and midwife because she wanted to become an expert in finding solutions to women’s health issues with the lowest negative risk. Her training at Bastyr University included a specialty in women’s health and natural childbirth. She is guided in her work by the principles of naturopathic medicine, including, the healing power of nature, treat the whole person, identify and treat the cause, first do no harm, doctor as teacher and prevention. She works by educating women about their body and their choices in health care. She has found that the body has an amazing capacity for healing and recovery when the obstacles to healing are removed and it is given what it needs to heal.
