Dr. Matthew Paldy
I work with individuals and couples suffering from grief, trauma, and emotional wounds that often lie beneath everyday functioning. My practice is grounded in a depth-oriented, relational approach that honors both conscious experience and the powerful, often unspoken forces of the unconscious.

My work is shaped by two guiding principles:

* Deep Listening: A psychoanalytic approach that helps you understand how loss, trauma, and early experiences live on inside you—shaping your feelings, relationships, and sense of self.

* Trauma-Informed Care: A sensitive, attuned, and collaborative process that respects the impact of trauma on the body, mind, and relationships.
Together, our work can help you:

Process grief, loss, and traumatic experiences that may feel overwhelming, frozen, or unresolved.
Make sense of emotional pain that can feel confusing, isolating, or impossible to put into words.
Reconnect with your inner strengths, capacities, and capacity for meaning, even in the aftermath of suffering.
I engage with the whole of who you are—your thoughts, emotions, memories, relationships, and hopes for the future. I see therapy as a shared journey in which you are not alone with your pain. It is deeply meaningful to accompany my clients as they mourn, heal, and gradually rediscover connection, purpose, and vitality in their lives.

My approach is grounded in clinical expertise, lived human understanding, and deep respect for how difficult grief and trauma can be. My hope is that together we can better understand your story, give voice to what has been silenced, and help you move forward in ways that feel authentic, safe, and meaningful.
