Reena is a solution focused therapist who’s approach is friendly, warm, gentle, caring, genuine, and result-oriented. Reena incorporates appropriate humor into her sessions to create a comfortable setting and build a strong rapport with her clients. Reena believes the key to effective therapy does not lie in any particular method, but rather in the authenticity of the relationship between counselor and client. Reena has a deep understanding for multicultural issues which enhances the therapeutic relationship with all types of individuals.
Reena graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Reena comes with a background working with both adults and adolescents. She has worked with a diverse population in the mental health field which incorporates addictions, mental health (anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Borderline Personality Disorder), dually diagnosed, and developmental disabilities including autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
Reena encourages positive thinking to achieve valued goals and this coupled with solution focused therapy, empowers her clients to take charge of their lives and to be the best they can be. Reena creates a safe environment for her clients to open up and express their wants and needs for a healthier lifestyle. Reena will use a combination of different approaches to fit the individual’s specific needs throughout treatment.
