Portrait Health Centers are multi-specialty clinics that employ the most cutting-edge and proven assessment protocols and treatment options available, believing that an Effective Treatment Depends On An Accurate Diagnosis. Individuals should not have to “play doctor” by researching available treatments and then self-selecting which of these treatments has been scientifically validated and would be most appropriate for themselves or their family. At Portrait Health Centers, we provide a comprehensive and multi-specialty assessment to determine the underlying causes of your symptoms and incorporate an appropriate treatment plan.
Bio
Specialties: Children and adolescents- Academic Underachievement, Addiction, Anger Management, Anxiety, Behavioral Issues, Coping Skills, Depression, Developmental Disorders, Eating Disorders, Emotional Disturbance, Family Conflict, Grief, Learning Disabilities, Life Coaching, Oppositional Defiance, Parenting, Peer Relationships, Racial Identity, Relationship Issues, Self esteem, Self- harming, Sexual Abuse, Sleep or Insomnia, Substance Abuse, Suicidal Ideation, Teen Violence, Transgender, Trauma and PTSD, etc.

I obtained my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology after getting my Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign, where I majored in Psychology and Spanish. I have experience working and volunteering with a variety of different populations- children with severe autism, patients with traumatic brain injury, adolescents doing outpatient therapy/ wilderness therapy/ residential therapy, those in the child welfare system, etc.

My counseling philosophy is to help guide every person to be their best self. I believe that we all go through struggles in life and it is just about finding the correct support systems to learn to move forward, as relationships are the most important things in life. I tend to focus on one’s self esteem and strengths as guides to dealing with whatever issues come along. I feel that there is always a solution to our problems and with the right mindset, everyone can achieve their goals.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, fiancé, and fur baby (my cat named Captain). I love to be adventurous- anywhere from trying a new restaurant to traveling to another country.
