As a licensed speech language pathologist with specialized training in many areas of speech and language skills, my goal is to help your child reach his/her greatest communicative abilities. I do this by working as a team with parents, caregivers and children to create attainable goals based on formal and informal assessments. As a sole practitioner, I focus on each client and his/her individual needs and design a therapy plan that I feel will achieve the best results. I integrate use of multiple therapy approaches designed to meet each individual child's needs. I am trained in PROMPT and have had significant success with it. Bio
Rachel is a licensed speech language pathologist with many years of experience in treating individuals with speech and language disorders. Rachel has provided therapy in a variety of clinical settings, including in-home speech services, school-based speech services, and clinic-based speech services addressing the needs of toddler age children through adults.
She is a dedicated and caring professional who enjoys working with young children and their families to provide personalized therapy to help your child achieve their communication goals.
Rachel has extensive experience in the diagnosis and intervention of children with a variety of communication disorders including receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language, motor speech such as apraxia, articulation, and pervasive developmental disorders.
Rachel received both her Bachelor and Masters degrees in Speech Language Pathology through Touro College School of Health Sciences.
She is a certified member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed within the State of Maryland.
The practice she founded, Speech Within Reach, provides pediatric speech therapy in Baltimore, Maryland. Rachel has a reputation as a very effective speech language pathologist and works with a variety of speech disorders.
