Wits & Words Speech-Language Pathology
In Person and Video Speech Therapy
Available in California and Massachusetts
I help frustrated people break down barriers to better communication, learning, and thinking so that they can lead fulfilling, independent lives.
Mobile private practice and teletherapy allow me to provide personalized, encouraging, and effective therapy services to people in a way that meets them where they are. No worksheets, flashcards, etc. (unless you like those things!).
I specialize in helping people experiencing difficulty with speaking, listening, reading, writing, attention/concentration, memory, organization, planning, and executive functions (the "boss" functions of the brain that help you get things done).
I have a special place in my heart for people living with dementia and their families. While I cannot reverse or cure the cognitive decline that comes with dementia, I can help find ways to live well at each stage, reduce daily frustrations, and improve independence.
Many people I work with have tried speech therapy in the past but found they did not have input into what they were doing, or their goals didn't meet their actual needs. So they left frustrated and without much progress.
My approach focuses on shared goal-building and working together at a level that is challenging--but not impossible--so that you can see and feel the benefit of what you're doing.
