Practice Information |
As a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist, with over 35 years of experience, my treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. With sensitivity and compassion I help clients find solutions to a wide range of life challenges and psychological issues. Blending conventional and alternative approaches, I draw on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. I work with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.
I specialize in counseling couples and individuals with relationship distress and intimacy issues using an approach which is focused on helping to create a safe and secure, loving and trusting bond with each other. I am a Certified (EFT) Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist, and AEDP Therapist. My work is client centered and collaborative using a systemic approach to facilitate change. I focus on process, attachment needs and emotions in order to deepen your experience in therapy.
I find the process of self-discovery using a relational attachment perspective is exciting and challenging. I truly believe that people have an innate potential to grow and heal. You possess the needed inner resources to make these changes happen, allowing the real possibility of happiness, joy and personal understanding. What makes me successful as a therapist is my ability to pinpoint the issues and to address them directly with clarity and compassion. - Sue Brenner |
