Bio:
James McMillian is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor serving individuals and families in the Johnson County, KS area. He graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2013 with his Masters of Arts in Counseling with a marriage, couples, and family focus. James has served as the president of Delta Eta Epsilon chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, the national honors society for counselors, from 2012 to 2014. He completed his graduate internship work at Solace House, focusing on Grief Counseling, and at a private counseling practice in Johnson County, working with individuals suffering from depression and anxiety as well as couples and families with relational conflict. James has given several presentations to the community about how caregivers can help children work through the grieving process, to the Kansas Counseling Association about sexual counseling from a theological perspective, and to the Olathe Police Department about stress reduction and peer support.
