Practice Information
When words alone are not enough, music can provide a safe and supportive way to connect and work toward personal growth. For people who are articulate and intelligent, connecting what you know to what you feel can sometimes be surprisingly difficult. I work on connecting thoughts and feelings through a combination of talking, exploring familiar songs, creating improvised music to reflect an emerging issue, playing and singing alone or together, and breathing/relaxation. No prior experience in music is needed to fully benefit from music psychotherapy.

I specialize in analytic music therapy work and vocal psychotherapy practices, using music to gently explore patterns and relationships in a clients life.

Music and words together help me develop a trusting relationship with my clients and work toward goals that will strengthen an understanding of self and support well-being.
