Brittany Olsen, MA, MFT is a licensed psychotherapist offering counseling and therapy for adult individuals and couples. She specializes in relationships, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, self-esteem/identity, and the general difficulties that one may experience from major and minor life transitions. Brittany counsels couples in all phases of the relationship – from pre-marital counseling to marital challenges (communication, infidelity, negative relational patterns) to the uncoupling process.
Brittany has had great success in helping her clients, mainly by fostering a supportive yet challenging therapeutic environment. Her approach is strength-based, solution-focused, and pragmatic. She believes that her clients ultimately know what is best for them, and it is her job to facilitate improvement through a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic forum.
Brittany generally employ a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) orientation. This focus entails identifying those faulty thinking patterns that are skewing one’s view of the world and contributing to one’s distress and life difficulties. This approach has consistently been shown to be the most effective in relieving symptoms and producing change. |
