Bio |
I have many years of experience in both the healing arts and without. I started my own business when I was just 9 years old, reselling merchandise at a local flea market. From those early years I realized how much I loved working with the public. Since then, I have worked in customer service, business and medical communities, as well as in the field of aviation.
I am an honorably discharged Naval veteran. This was an invaluable experience that taught me the importance of integrity and professionalism.
I have studied martial arts, including tai chi and qigong, becoming certified in medical qigong therapy. I became a massage therapist, with a practice in Pennsylvania, before making the move to come back to Hawaii. Once back home, I enrolled in acupuncture school. During my time at school, I simultaneously attended an apprenticeship with a local Hilo-based acupuncturist. The apprenticeship lasted three years.
I consider myself to be extremely lucky to have been afforded so many different opportunities, and so many enriching experiences. All that I have done has made me the well-rounded person - and practitioner - that I am today. |
