Practice Information
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (MFT) and certified psychoanalyst, practicing in Newport Beach, CA. My areas of experience and expertise are in Trauma Recovery, Adults Abused as Children (physical, sexual, and emotional), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Domestic Violence, as well as Anger Management, Divorce Recovery, Marital Therapy, Depression, Stress Reduction, Anxiety, and Spiritual Issues.

People come to me for many reasons having to do with their work, personal growth and relationships. Some need powerful techniques such as EMDR or Hypnosis to help eliminate a traumatic problem. For some, the need is for long-term Psychoanalysis or Psycho-dynamic therapy for deep inner healing and change. For others, it is support during a time of deepening spirituality or spiritual challenge. Each person's needs are unique, and I try to find what works for the individual.

Bio:
My approach to treatment emphasizes that one of our most basic human needs is to be in relationship with others. I help my clients explore how past family relationships have impacted their emotional development, their current relationships and how they think about themselves

In the course of treatment I use an inter-subjective systems approach using the therapeutic relationship to identify and explore patterns of relating that may interfere with forming successful connections with others and how these patterns have affected and shaped the patient’s life.

I work with individuals and couples and enjoy helping my patient's have greater joy in their life and work.
