Bio |
Scott has integrated empowerment techniques into his practice for over 20 years. He trains other professionals in the addictions and mental health fields. He utilizes traditional and innovative/results-driven approaches to achieve optimal treatment outcomes. Patients are treated with respect, empathy and mindfulness as complex individuals. Patients are encouraged to assume an active role in creating their own personalized treatment plan. They can expect to be challenged, supported and empowered to achieve their desired goals in psychotherapy. Patients can choose consultations, assessments, coaching, longer term or solution-focused psychotherapy. To accommodate busy schedules, flexible hours can be arranged.
Individual, Couples and Group therapy are options to address: Substance Abuse; Addictions; Anxiety and Panic Attacks; Depression; PTSD; Interpersonal Difficulties; Grief and Loss Issues; Gay and Lesbian Issues; Adolescent Issues; Conflict Resolution. For corporate clients: Wellness Training Workshops; Employer/Employee Assessments; Consultations; Onsite Counseling and Intervention; Critical Incident Stress Debriefings.
At the core of empowering psychotherapy is the therapeutic alliance between the therapist and patient. The patient-therapist collaboration empowers individuals to make personal choices regarding their own health and treatment. As a result, patients gain skills, confidence, self-awareness and accountability for their own progress. |
