At the present time, I have a part-time practice with adults, specializing in relationship problems, depression and anxiety, family problems such as dealing with adolescent children and aging parents, workplace difficulties and problems of mid-life and aging. I have been trained in many modalities: psychodynamic, CBT, couples therapy, gestalt therapy, psychodrama and integrating spiritual needs into therapy. I have taken something from all these perpectives and try to tailor therapy to my client's needs without being rigidily to any theoretical orientation.
My style of therapy is to be engaged and active; I am not a silent therapist. I'll offer my opinions, reflections and ideas on how we can work together to make life happier and more satisfying for you. |

| My first career as a set and costume designer was fun but didn't really satisfy my interest in relating more deeply and helpfully to others. My own experiences in therapy helped me understand that my native empathy and comfort with others feelings and distress would serve me and my future clients well. I have been a practicing psychotherapist forover 40 years have worked in many different setting: a children's inpatient word, an adult inpatient ward and several outpatient clinics in Massachusetts and California as well as over 35 years of private practice. |
