Bio:
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 15 years of experience working with children and families experiencing issues related to acute and chronic life stressors. Settings include child welfare, residential, juvenile justice, and mental health. My therapeutic style is centered on respect, empathy, compassion, and self-empowerment. My goal is to help you identify and process your feelings and connect them to behavior and outcomes.

Humanistic and cognitive-behavioral theories are used in an integrative approach to help understand your unique life experiences and how they have led to deficit-based thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors My specialties include treatment of problems related to foster care, adoption, family, and other interpersonal relationships, issues with attachment, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Much of the work I do involves helping individuals process grief, loss, and complex trauma. Complex trauma is often associated with children and adverse childhood experiences, but I believe adults can also experience complex trauma because of repeated exposure to violence in the home, family, workplace, or community.
