At the Georgia Center for OCD & Anxiety, our mission is to help individuals struggling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and other Anxiety Disorders to overcome the very debilitating nature of the disorders. Using only validated treatment approaches, our center strives to provide knowledge and skills to patients in order to help facilitate change. Our purpose is to be a coach, consultant and encourager to those on the journey to reclaim their lives.

Bio:

Kasey Brown began her undergraduate training at New Mexico Military Institute, earning an associate's degree in psychology. She completed her education in psychology at the University of Georgia (BS). She also earned her Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Georgia. During her graduate training, Kasey's primary focus was clinical practice, learning to address individuals within a relational context that includes family, culture and community. While working on her master's degree she completed an internship at a senior- care facility providing various social work services to the elderly population. She also interned in a local school system, which entailed providing and coordinating services for children and their families. During her time in school, Kasey worked for a small private mental health agency operating in several roles, including office manager. She is currently licensed in the state of Georgia as a Licensed Masters Social Worker. In private practice, Kasey specializes exclusively in the treatment of OCD and Anxiety Disorders. She has received training from nationally known OCD and Anxiety experts. Kasey uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and other evidence-based treatments and has successfully helped children, adolescents and adults overcome impairing OCD and other Anxiety Disorders.
