Bio:

As the owner and principal Speech Language Pathologist at Connections Speech Therapy, Katherine Hindman has over twenty years experience that includes evaluating and treating children and young adults in a variety of settings: from working several years in an intensive behavioral-based program for students with autism and developmental disabilities, to working for local preschool programs and elementary schools, to spending many years working in Early Intervention with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with various delays and challenges in all areas of development. She has collaborated with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and special educators, and specializes in implementing sensory techniques to make learning fun, creative, and ultimately more successful. By helping a child to organize, integrate, and use sensory input from his body and the surrounding environment, Katherine is able to establish a more focused attention and mutual trust and build a child's confidence and address those factors that may be interfering with communication.
