My goal during therapy is to create an understanding and caring environment. I help my clients see the different paths available to them to better understand themselves and get the enjoyment out of life that they deserve. Each client is an individual with their own values, beliefs, and characteristics which I respect. Therapy should not be “cookie cutter”, but should take all areas of the individual into consideration. Whether someone has been struggling with their physical or mental health, job, or relationships we can work together to identify those areas that cause distress and how to approach them. I received my Masters degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, with a emphasis in health psychology. I received my Bachelor degree in psychology and art from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. During my internship, I worked in community mental health doing therapy with adults, with a variety of concerns and diagnoses. After graduating with my masters, I worked in assisted living doing recreational therapy. Health has always been important to me. Learning how psychological, behavioral, and cultural aspects of our everyday contribute to physical health and illness are key as these to some degree affect us all. In my spare time I enjoy reading, baking, crocheting, exercising, and spending time with my family. |
