"Life isn't about finding yourself. It is about creating yourself" - George Bernard Shaw

-Do you yearn for that special someone?

-Do you feel lost and confused right now, not sure in which direction to go?

-Do you find you rarely have time to do the things you want to do, leaving you feeling resentful or guilty?

If you find that these questions are your questions, I can help.

Often there are times in life where we seem to “hit walls.” Nothing we do seems to be right, negative thoughts and worries run rampant. Our loved ones complain about our behaviors or moods that we can’t seem to control. Feeling hopeless and overwhelmed, we panic, feel anxious, depressed, sad and hopeless. It’s common to want to run away, distract ourselves, just give up, or blame others.

Every artist dips their brush in their own soul, and paints their own nature and creates their own picture. As a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist, my treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. With sensitivity and compassion, I help clients find solutions to a wide range of life challenges and psychological issues. What I tell my Clients is that if you do not define you, someone else will.

Blending conventional and alternatives approaches, I draw on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. I work with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.

Work on conflict resolution with a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, achieve the personal growth in all areas of your life.

“Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself.” ~Carl Jung

Why do people seek therapy? Some have to suddenly respond to unexpected changes in their lives, while others seek self-exploration and personal growth. When your old ways to cope are overwhelmed by guilt, doubt, anxiety, or despair, therapy can help.

Coping skills are learned as are boundaries and my form of counseling can provide support, problem-solving skills, and new, improved enhanced coping for issues such as lack of confidence, relationship troubles, unresolved childhood issues, bereavement, spiritual conflicts, stress management, body image issues, and creative blocks.

“Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself.” ~Carl Jung

Our work together will provide new meaning to old problems. Move away from crisis today. If this resonates, I can help you find the joy in life you deserve.

Education
I am a psychotherapist, teacher, and group facilitator with over 15 years of experience. I had a private psychotherapy practice in Denver, Colorado, and was a graduate and core faculty member of the C.G. Jung Foundation in Denver. I had the great fortune to do training with Jungian Analyst, Jeff Raff, PhD, whose books I reference on my Resource page. In addition I also worked extensively with Lynn Andrews, author of Medicine Woman, and held an integral position in the teachings and working in her school.

A graduate of Pacifica Graduate Institute, drawing on over 15 years of experience, my approach toward working with clients is a highly effective blend of Traditional and Holistic Psychotherapies.

Additional trainings include a trained certification in Expressive-Arts. Certification with Pat Ogden as my trainer in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Somatic work like EMDR goes deeper as a therapy to recognize heal and release trauma. Training with Dan Siegel author of The Developing Mind, and Parenting From the Inside Out, which incorporates the latest neurological research and clinical application.

My techniques include conventional psychotherapy, cognitive- behavioral, and mind-body therapies. Combining the latest neurobiological insights, along with a warm and supportive environment, we will explore and release old pains. My client’s discover within themselves relief from old wounds and hope in all one's relationships, self and other. As a result of our collaborative process a newfound sense of well-being emerges. Ways to manage and cope with emotions such as anger, fear, sadness and anxiety and feel and think more positively.

As a certified expressive arts therapist the creative process as a natural healing function is enhanced. My treatment goals for all my clients are to provide life enhancing tools that help them to fashion their lives in ways that serve their needs now and in the future.
Bio:
I regard it as the noblest task of psychotherapy
in our times to untiringly serve the personal growth
of the individual. ~ C. G. Jung

I am a Marriage Family Therapist with a private practice in Newport Beach. I work with individuals, couples and families in a private practice setting that strives for safety, trust and comfort to explore and reveal deeper issues that may at first appear annoying and painful but allow for more joy and energy when rooted out. What you don't acknowledge you can't change, and change is the corner stone of any good session.

As a Psychologically Depth – Oriented, interactive and solution-focused therapist, my treatment approach provides support and practical feedback, helping clients achieve all the benefits that therapy has to offer. I help clients find and name their own solutions to a wide range of life challenges and psychological issues.
Blending conventional and alternatives approaches, I draw on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. I believe we all have a story to tell and it is as we tell our stories that we begin to heal.

I provide a warm, safe, and supportive environment for therapy. I encourage my clients to invoke a curious inquiry of present issues and concerns, test out - through their own experiences in life what works and what doesn’t. I honor the mind-body connection of each individual. I work in a collaborative manner with each client in order to identify and release unwanted patterns/beliefs and unresolved old feelings that are blocking personal power, self acceptance and satisfying relationships.

There is so much exciting research coming out about how the brain works, it is plastic and very amendable to change. Therapy is one of the most effective ways we have to take advantage of what science is proving to be true. Neurons that fire together, wire together and that is how therapy works, taking your new self back to your life will not only make positive differences that will be long lasting. Transformation of old habits and beliefs informed by old traumas can be highlighted is what my trainings in these fields are revealing.
