My husband and I decided to pursue massage therapy together as a way of improving our health. We wanted the ability to spend more time together doing something that not only helps us but others as well. In our current health care system chemical interventions seem to be the only recourse. However, massage and bodywork offers many choices to help people who suffer from chronic pain, restricted range of motion and stress. As a therapist, I am continuing learning new modalities that may help improve someone's overall health status. I do know that massage is effective at reducing stress, tension and anxiety. It is a great goodness to teach people how to relax and experience a greater sense of well being.
